Does Camerastore.com.au match all competitors prices?

We aim to at least match or beat all Australian camera based web sites. On occasion, we do not match IT / Computer part websites as we have often proved that they advertise cheap prices yet never actually have or get camera stock. Cameras are ordered months in advance with the Australian distributors and a website who does not have stock but claims that can "order it for you" will probably struggle to ever supply!

Does Camerastore.com.au have a physical store in my state?

Camerastore.com.au is purely an online store. We do operate from a physical location (based in South Australia) but this is not a retail front.

Can I pick-up my order and not pay freight?

Because our business is purely online and delivery based, we do not have the facilities for offering pick-up. All orders must include freight and subject to our normal delivery conditions. Refer to our freight section for further information.

What payment methods does Camerastore.com.au accept?

The following payment methods are offered by Camerastore and can be selected at the final order payment screen.

All credit cards including Diners and Amex (Instant processing)  - We may charge a 2% service fee on Diners / AMEX and you will be informed of this at processing
BPAY (Funds usually seen next day)
EFT - Electronic Funds Transfer (Funds usually seen next day)
Direct Deposit into our account (Funds usually seen next day)
Cheque / Money order (Requires 7 days clearance)
Call Me option - we call you for your credit card details

We do not offer Lay-By or any type of finance.

Are the products for sale on Camerastore Australian?

YES!!

Unlike some online stores or auction sites that offer products unofficially imported into Australia (also referred to as Grey Imports), all products sold by us are genuine Australian market goods. They are bought directly from the manufacturer in Australia (or their authorised distributor) and sold via our website at discounted prices!

Can i get a stock enquiry before i purchase?

YES!!

Camerastore offers a stock enquiry service for all the products featured on our site.
When you request a stock enquiry from us we will receive an email immediately. We will endeavor to answer your email within 30mins of receiving it, as long as we are in receipt of it within business working hours.
If you send the stock enquiry out of business working hours please do not expect a reply until the next business working day.

Are your Cameras grey market?

NO!!

Grey market products are imported into Australia outside the official distributor channel.
This can be a reason why other sites are able to offer lower prices.
Grey Market cameras are not covered by the official manufacturers warranty and quality is not guaranteed.
Camerastore has never sold grey import products. We pride ourselves on the close partnerships with all the brands listed on our website and direct reseller accounts with them. We have regular visits from the retailers reps and have a great relationship ensuring the best prices and latest products for our customers.  All products sold by us come with the Australian Warranty, as supplied by the Australian wholesaler/distributor.

WE WILL NOT, HAVE NEVER, OR WILL EVER CONDONE OR ENDORSE THE SALE OR PURCHASE OF GREY IMPORT STOCK.

Can i buy over the phone with you?

YES!!!

We have a number of staff working for Camerastore and they are available during our business hours.
Our staff our friendly and approachable and will endeavor to answer any question you have related to ordering and the purchase of digital camera and camera equipment.
We also have the resource to answer any technical or professional question related to the products featured on our site.

Is my Delivery Insured?

YES!

Your order is fully insured with Toll for damage or non-delivery (lost in transit).

The cost of this insurance is covered in the $16 freight we charge for all orderes over $50.00 and $10.00 for all orders under $50.00 anywhere in Australia.

Can i track my Delivery?

YES!

Yes you can track your delivery through Toll!

You are able to log into your account with camerastore and track your delivery.

Also you can contact us on 1800155067 and ask our friendly staff to track exactly where you goods are in transit.

Do the products sold on Camerastore come with any warranty?

All the products we sell include the full 1 Year official national manufacturers warranty ( i.e Canon Australia, Nikon Australia, Olympus Australia, Sony Australia, Panasonic Australia, Samsung Australia etc). For warranty service and repair, the product can be taken to any authorised Service and repairer in your state. The locations of these repairers can easily be found by contacting the manufacturer or visiting their website.
Australian Manufacturer’s warranties also entitle you to claim Cash Back’s during specific promotional campaign periods
A lot of other websites will offer Australian Warranties but please be aware that these may not be official manufacturers  warranties so there may be lengthy procedures and may not be fixed by the manufacturers recommended and authorised service or repairer.

The advantages of purchasing through camerastore over some of our competitors is we will offer the full 1 Year official national manufacturers warranty ( i.e Canon Australia, Nikon Australia, Olympus Australia, Sony Australia, Panasonic Australia, Samsung Australia etc). This will ensure that if something goes wrong with your camera you can be sure that it will be dealt with with by a recommended service and repairer of our major suppliers and manufacturers

Can i purchase extended warranty through you?

Yes!!

Extended warranties are available and will take effect after the 1 year official manufacturers warranty ends. You can purchase 1,2,3 or 4 years and and each will have a different price depending on how much the product costs and for what length of time you require the warranty.

This extended warranty is provided by PhotoTechnical Services Australia. All enquiries in regards to claims must be directed to them on: 1800 634 322 or email them at: enquiries@phototech.com.au

Your Extended Manufacturer’s Warranty is designed to provide you with protection against potentially expensive repair costs in the event of your camera or equipment developing a fault, during the period of additional warranty purchased.

Your Extended Manufacturer’s Warranty is provided by Phototechnical, nationwide camera repairers.
The Extended Manufacturer’s Warranty is limited to the extension of the same conditions as supplied by the original manufacturer of the equipment, for the period indicated on the Extended Warranty Certificate.


Phototechnical undertake to:
Restore your camera or equipment to full working order, using only their trained and experienced technicians.
• Provide all spare parts and labour at no charge to yourself as the warranty purchaser.
• Should repair be uneconomic or parts be unavailable, we will replace your camera with one of similar type and equal value, (based on its value at the time of the claim)
• Provide a free of charge courier transport for the camera / equipment to our premises from anywhere in Australia, for valid claims.
• Extend the warranty for a further period at any time during the previous warranty period, by payment of the required fee.
• Phototechnical GUARANTEE to clearly communicate with warranty holders to give GUARANTEED SERVICE SATISFACTION.


TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. It is the customer’s responsibility to notify Phototechnical that a warranty claim will be made (See “How to claim on your warranty….” below), as soon as possible after a fault is noticed and the item returned, as soon as practicable, with a clear explanation of the problem.
2. While every care is taken, Phototechnical accepts no liability for consequential loss, or films and accessories not listed on the paperwork.
3. Warranty is valid providing customer registration is correct and all relevant paperwork is supplied at the time of any claim.
4. If  a claim is made for repairs under this warranty, but Phototechnical deem such repairs to be outside the warranty conditions, a quote will be issued. Any charge repairs carried out will be guaranteed seperately for one year, will run concurrently and will not affect the continuance of the original Extended Manufacturer’s Warranty. A quote refused fee may be charged for some items.
5. The warranty will be considered void if the equipment has been damaged by impact, water/liquid, sand, dust, dirt, grit, battery corrosion, unauthorised repair, or neglected in any way which causes the equipment to malfunction.
6. No other individual or company is authorised to carry out repairs under our warranty without our written permission.
7. Phototechnical is the sole provider of this warranty and we reserve the exclusive right to determine which claims are within our warranty guidelines.

HOW TO CLAIM ON YOUR WARRANTY IN THE EVENT OF CAMERA OR EQUIPMENT BREAKDOWN


We find that many apparent camera failures are due to something simple. So we ask you to please run through the following check list, before contacting us, to avoid embarrassment.
1. Is your camera switched on.
2. Check your camera’s battery.
3. Check Film
4. For digitals – Check memory card it may be full or require re-formating.

Is Camerastore.com.au the cheapest on the Internet?

We aim to be the cheapest online camera, digital and video camera store. We constantly monitor all major Australian competitors pricing and try to ensure we are the cheapest.
There are some cases where we may not seem the cheapest and these are summarised below:

We do not compete with eBay stores. They are often selling imported goods that are not endorsed by the Australian camera distributors or they are International sellers.
We do not compete with US or other International web sites. International cameras do not comes with an Australian warranty and are not endorsed by the Australian distributors.
We do not compete with some IT Based websites who advertise cameras at near or below cost yet never actually have stock. They advertise really cheap prices and ask you to place an order with the promise of delivery within a few days. In reality, they often take months to deliver or never actually do. This is also the case with certain web sites that advertise massive stock levels but actually have none!
