The Nikkor 45mm f/2.8P is intended for advanced amateur-level photographers looking for a compact manual focus lens that works well with manual focus SLRs like the FM3A.
The lens' Tessar-type optical design allows for a comparatively thin, compact lens. It features Nikon Super Integrated Coating and a 7-blade diaphragm opening for natural-looking blur. Featuring a built-in CPU, the lens is compatible with all exposure modes of cameras like the F5, F100, F80, F65, F55 and FM3A.
