True 4000dpi optical resolution, 16-bit A/D conversion of the input signal and a 16-bit output combine to deliver brilliant, colour-true images. A broader dynamic range helps reveal the details concealed within the darker portions of a scene. Multi-sample scan capability of as many as 16 passes ensures faithful reproduction with smoother gradation. A newly developed high-quality 3-line CCD sensor arrangement contributes to high image quality and fast scanning times (40 seconds for 35mm, 185 seconds for 6 x 9cm). The ability to manipulate colour data in a range of RGB colour spaces results in extremely high precision and flexibility.
