Sigma AF 28-300mm f3.5-5.6 IF Hyperzoom Macro - Pentax mount
This new Hyperzoom provides a tremendous range of focal lengths (a 10.7:1 ratio), providing exceptional flexibility of composition, and allowing one to follow the movement of a subject throughout a wide range, without having to miss great shots while changing lenses. By utilizing a multi-group zoom cam system, this lens maintains a more consistently high level of performance throughout the focal length and focusing ranges. It also allows this lens to focus closer in the critical wide-angle ranges, than other zoom lenses in this focal length category.
This Hyperzoom also provides high optical performance due tothe use of Special Low Dispersion (SLD) and Aspherical Glass. It offers excellent portability because of its compact design, and since the front lens barrel does not rotate during focusing or zooming, the use of polarizing and graduated filters, and of a ’’perfect hood’’ to minimize flare, is greatly simplified. For many photographers, this is truly a universal lens.
